KADEX 2018

The V International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment, KADEX 2018, will be held in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan from May 23 to May 26, 2018. This year the exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Kazakhstan Engineering” National Company, RSE “Kazspecexport” and “Astana-Expo KS” Exhibition Company are amongst the co-organizers of the event.

Over 300 Kazakhstani and foreign enterprises of the military-industrial complex and space industry, as well as leading engineering bureaus and research institutes will take part in the exhibition. Traditionally, alongside with the largest European corporations like Airbus, Leonardo, Thales, Nexter, Elbit Systems etc., leading Russian, Turkish and Chinese developers such as Almaz-Antey, Uralvagonzavod, UAC, Aselsan, TAI, Otokar, Poly Technologies, ACTIC and Norinco will be represented by country pavilions.

Exhibition guests and participants will be able to get acquainted with the current achievements and latest research developments of military-industrial complex and space industry enterprises. A special focus of the exhibition will be on the development of the electronic systems, command, control and communications systems as well as the latest solutions in the area of information security.

Over 150 invitations have been sent by the organizers to foreign defense ministries, defense and aerospace industries institutions as well as national information security agencies. At least 50 official delegations headed by chief executive officers or deputy chief officers are expected to participate. A visit to KADEX is included in the official program of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) meeting events, scheduled to take place from May 23 to May 25, 2018, with the participation of Secretaries of Security Councils and Ministers of Defense of the member countries.

The inaugural International Forum “Space Days in Kazakhstan” will also be held, as well as “Advanced Def Tech” Research and Application Conference and “Cyber and Digital Security” conference. The scope of the events will allow experts to exchange their ideas on the current issues of defense and security, international development of space science and also to discuss the latest information on safety and security arrangements.
