The NDIA First Coast Chapter invites you to participate at the “Amazing Grace Defense Innovation Event” in honor of Rear Admiral Grace Hopper and her numerous innovative contributions to the United States Navy. The symposium will be at the Lexington Hotel and Conference Center in Jacksonville, Florida, 26-27 February 2019. We expect a large, diverse audience with participation from industry and government workforce supporting innovation across services in Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) simulation, autonomous vehicles, contracting and acquisition and cyber security.
This year’s theme is “Meet Us At The Intersection of Innovation & Entrepreneurship”.
- Focus on the latest innovations and best practices, challenges and opportunities, and enhancing government/industry partnerships;
- Warfighters and service acquisition professionals will provide valuable insight into subject capabilities while exploring innovation and future technologies;
- Breakout sessions will focus on the four domain areas on innovative integration of new technologies into training, the latest in autonomous vehicle technology, innovations in contracting, including new emphasis on Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and cyber security as its importance continues to increase in operations and training.
The Honorable F. Whitten Peters, former secretary of the U.S. Air Force, will be the government keynote speaker followed by other distinguished speakers including General Hawk Carlisle, president and CEO of National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA); Frank Kelley, vice president of Defense Acquisition University (former assistant deputy secretary of the U.S. Navy for Unmanned Systems); Jim Robb, president of the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA); Tim Hill, NAWCTSD commanding officer; and Mike Merritt, deputy technical director.
