Microsoft Wins JEDI Contract

Microsoft Corporation has been awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling value of $10 billion over a period of 10 years, if all options are exercised. The JEDI Cloud contract will provide enterprise level, commercial Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) to support the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) business and mission operations.

“As was articulated throughout the JEDI procurement, the DoD has a singular objective — to deploy the most innovative and secure commercially available technology to satisfy the urgent and critical needs of today’s warfighters,” said Toni Townes-Whitley, president, US Regulated Industries, Microsoft. “We look forward to expanding our longstanding partnership with DoD and support our men and women in uniform at home, abroad, and at the tactical edge with our latest unique and differentiated Azure cloud capabilities.”

The expected completion date is October 24, 2029, if all options are exercised.
